About the Author Guitar Superstars was created by Andy Johnson a guitar teacher for 20 years. Andy has also toured the globe playing with his band "Rat Arenas" getting paid to play the whole time. Andy has constructed what he calls an army of the worlds greatest guitar teachers.
Each of these teachers have their own style of guitar to teach and have all made their names known as guitar experts by touring the world in bands and teaching guitar to others.

Product Highlights From the bold claims I have read and heard about how great Guitar Superstars is I went into the program very skeptical. However, I must admit that Guitar Superstars lives up to most of the positive feedback it has received.
Possibly the most impressive part about the program is that it includes videos specifically designed to teach you how to go from beginner to record label.
This is the only guitar course that teaches you stage presence, how to record an album and even how to negotiate a record label. This is literally the only guitar resource I have come across that teaches about how to actually make money from playing the guitar.

DON'T be fooled by this statement! I'm not saying you can buy the program and be touring the globe in a year. If you don't practice and implement what is taught it will be difficult to learn even the basics of playing guitar.
However if you are serious about putting in the time to practice and learn, this is the only program that teaches how to make a career out of playing the guitar (i.e. get gigs for cash money/be a musician for hire).

Product Performance The lessons are structured in a very user friendly way. The lay out allows for any skill level from beginner to advanced to jump in and start playing. Both acoustic and electric guitar is taught (I've seen videos on both, but I only have an acoustic....great stuff though!). Other than a few tiny oversights the lessons progressed very naturally. Most of these were corrected shortly after they were made, like using a new term without explaining what it meant. For experienced guitar players the advanced level techniques as well as stage presence lessons will all serve well toward performing on stage or in a band. There was a lot of split screen action to allow you to simultaneously see the frethand and the striking hand in action. This is key for tying it all together in practice. |

The focus of these lessons is to get you playing fast. You learn about music theory as you progress as opposed to learning it in the beginning. In this way you get the essential information that will have you playing chords your very first day. This realistically shaves off months of traditional guitar lessons by condensing the most powerful guitar techniques into one course. |

Bonuses Included are life time updates to the members area. This allows you to recieve new and updated lessons for life. The GSS Jam machine is also included. This is a synthesizer that allows you to play along with tracks. This is a fun way to play with a virtual band, but to be honest adds little educational value when used. GSS is simply a fun way to keep practicing. However the life time updated material does add to what you have learned in the core program. |

The Bad News To be honest the only bad part of Guitar Superstars is also one of their strong points. Each teacher has their own style of teaching. None of the teachers are bad, but you do need to adapt to each ones methods. This certainly won't ruin the experience for you, but it is definitely worth mentioning. |
